A personal photo exhibition of the famous German supermodel and artist Countess Vera von Lendorf opened in Moscow. In the fashion world, a 73-year-old celebrity is known as Verushka.
The exposition was housed in the Multimedia Art Museum. The artist presented her "Self-portraits", which are black and white photographs, more like film frames. Verushka plays various kinds of them, sometimes shocking roles - either a cosmic alien creature, then a zebra in the park, then a dog, then suddenly transformed into Marlene Dietrich. For her, her own body is a means of expression, and each frame demonstrates how skillfully she uses it.
The installation of the exhibition was personally controlled by the artist herself, who admitted that it was with great joy that she opened the exhibition in Russia, with which she always felt a close connection. It turns out Verushka was born in Koenigsberg (Kaliningrad). The artist took part in the opening of the exhibition and held a master class, noting that a record number of her works are exhibited here in Moscow, which has never been exhibited anywhere. The 73-year-old model amazed visitors to the exhibition, who did not skimp on applause, with her mischief and extravagance.
Verushka was in Moscow before, and not so long ago, with the presentation of her book "My Life". In the book Veruschka talks about how she began to engage in art, about friendship and cooperation with Salvador Dali, Richard Avedon, Michelangelo Antonioni and Andy Warhol.
